Important things to remember prior to enrolling in a Medicare Plan:

•  To enroll  into a Medicare Advantage Plan or a Medicare Supplement you must be enrolled in Medicare Parts A and Part B.

• To enroll into a Part D stand alone Prescription Drug Plan, you must have Medicare part A and/or B.  

• Medicare Special Need Programs are not subject to the enrollment periods listed above.
    
• Special Election Period's occur starting January 1.  Examples of qualifying events for a Special Election Period would be: those newly eligible for Medicare, or if a member moved out of the coverage area or state where the plan is available.
